Back in Town

Yup, I'm back from my visit in the States and I have nothing else to do but act like a hausfrau in my almost-unpacked apartment. Until the end of October! Also, our phone service is all buggered up, so I have no internet at home. So this is coming to you straight from the oddest little internet cafe ever, smoky, small and with heinous terracotta-color walls, full of retirees and Turkish guys. That's the long way of saying, you might not hear too much from me for the rest of the month. Anyway, things are going well. I live right next to the big city park (of course, "right next to" is Kate-speak for "you can walk there within 1/4 hour"...) so we've been hanging out there a lot, both with old friends from the town I lived in last year, and with some of Philip's buddies from Lufthansa.

Oh yeah, some of you are probably wondering what in the heck we're up to anyway, huh? Well, I'm majoring in urban planning, starting on the 24th of october, and Philip has already started his 3-year airplane mechanic apprenticeship with Lufthansa as of August. Don't worry though people, they're still practicing their filing-down-chunks-o'-steel-by-hand skills, so you can fly Lufthansa without wondering if a bunch of kids right out of school have messed up the engines or anything.

Well, that's it for now. Talk to you later! I'll try to upload some pictures next time I'm on, but given my lack of technical know-how, I can't promise anything.

Some guy just lit up a cigarette next to me.

I wish I had a squirt gun.

Bye!
